How ranking works

Every profile here is built by reading a public GitHub account: repo languages measured in bytes, repo topics, star counts, and how recently each repo was pushed. Ranking is deterministic — 0.85 × skill-evidence coverage + 0.15 × trust score — and each card shows the arithmetic and links the repos it cites. Where the evidence is missing, Plaza says so instead of guessing.

v1 uses public GitHub data only. No LinkedIn, no self-reported claims, no LLM-written reasons. Same data over the API: GET /api/discover?vertical=collab&skills=…

Plaza only matches people it has evidence about. Give it a GitHub username and it reads that account’s public repos, language byte counts, topics and push recency, and stores the result as a profile.
